Scandinavian Airlines grounds Bombardiers
Scandinavian Airlines has decided to permanently stop flying Bombardier Q400 turboprops after a string of crash landings blamed on landing gear malfunctions, the airline's chief executive said Sunday.

SAS Crash Caused by Corroded Bolt, Investigator Says
A corroded landing-gear bolt caused the crash of a Scandinavian Airlines plane that led to the grounding of 60 Bombardier Inc. turboprop aircraft worldwide, according to a preliminary accident report.

Qantas inspecting turboprops
Qantas is inspecting but not grounding a type of turboprop aircraft it flies which have been involved in two accidents in Europe this week. Canadian aircraft maker Bombardier has recommended Q-400 planes which have completed more than 10,000 flights should be grounded worldwide.

Delta Air Seeks to Buy 30 Bombardier Regional Jets
Despite its bankruptcy status, Delta Air Lines, the third largest mainline carrier in the United States, plans to buy 30 76-seat CRJ900 jets to feed its hub airports as it moves closer to exiting court protection.
