Northwest Airlines to start Seattle-London non-stop flights in June
British Airways will no longer be the only choice for a non-stop flight to and from London and Seattle starting June 1 when Northwest Airlines starts daily service next between Seattle-Tacoma International and London Heathrow airports.

Ryanair vows to increase Shannon-London services
Ryanair has announced plans to increase flights between Shannon and London if Aer Lingus goes ahead with plans to end its Heathrow service from the Co Clare airport.

New low-cost airline may offer $11 London fare
New long-distance budget airline Air Asia X says it will announce its first Australian destination within days. Promotional fares would include $US10 ($11.30) flights to London on selected flights, but regular fares would still be significantly cheaper than full service carriers.

Silverjet begins London - New York route
Business class only carrier Silverjet began its first route between London and New York today, offering passengers a check in time of just 30 minutes while also introducing a mandatory carbon contribution within its fares to offset emissions.
