Scandinavian Airlines grounds Bombardiers

Scandinavian Airlines has decided to permanently stop flying Bombardier Q400 turboprops after a string of crash landings blamed on landing gear malfunctions, the airline's chief executive said Sunday.

SAS Crash Caused by Corroded Bolt, Investigator Says

A corroded landing-gear bolt caused the crash of a Scandinavian Airlines plane that led to the grounding of 60 Bombardier Inc. turboprop aircraft worldwide, according to a preliminary accident report.

Bombardier probes crash

Bombardier Inc. has dispatched an investigator to Denmark in the wake of an accident involving one of the company's Toronto-built aircraft when a Scandinavian Airlines turboprop crashed during an emergency landing.
