Joseph Grimaldi - Clown
The blue plaques of London aren't just the preserve of Prime Ministers and Captains of Industry. Now any old clown can get a plaque. Mind you, Joseph Grimaldi wasn't any old clown, he was the Godfather of modern clowning.

I come from a circus background here in Ireland, I am doing some research at the moment, is there a film on the life of Joseph Grimaldi, I would very much like to see it if so. I worked as a joey for a long time, but only yesterday found out where the name came from.
