Monkey Magic in Thailand
At the river ferry in Ayathaya, Thailand there is a great mural of the characters from the classic Chinese novel Journey to the West.

Monkey Mural - Ayuthaya
I'm no scholar on Chinese literature but most Aussies, Kiwis and Brits my age will recognise the mural as the characters from Monkey, a TV show that was popular in the 80's.
The story is Chinese, made in Japan and dubbed into English by the BBC.
Here is a video of the start of the show, which gives you a taste of it's cult cheesy goodness.
