Bangkok Tailors dump the Dollar for the Euro
The slow decline of the US Dollar as a global currency continues with the tailors of Bangkok now advertising their rates in euros.
Advertisements for tailors can be found on the free tourist maps of Bangkok. I was in Bangkok in 2005 and all of the prices were in USD. Now the advertisements are in euros.
Below are copies of some advertisements from 2005 and 2008.

Or... they are getting better at marketing to their main clientele. Brits, Germans, Swedes, etc comprise a much higher percentage of foreign tourists than Americans.
As of 2004 there were about 4 times as many Europeans visiting the country -

This has nothing to do with who the tourists are. The US dollar is already in the toilet and picking up speed in its decent. At this point living here and having the Bush Pesos is a losing battle in the world travel game.
Seth your wrong even if the dollar wasn't declining one would expect more and more countries to switch over to advertising in the Euro. Number one their are more Europeans then their are Americans, secondly the EU economic zone has a higher GDP then America and Europeans are more likely to travel abroad then Americans. The decrease in the US Dollar is only quickening this conversion over to the Euro.
