I loved visiting the Greek islands and Rhodes. Its history is fasinating but I was disappointed that the Colossus of Rhodes wasn't a bigger tourist draw...hardly any mention and of course no sign of him or even a foundation. Oh, well, it was just childhood dreams of a giant at the harbor that were drivng me to seach.

Hi Frank, thanks for dropping by. Yes it would be good if they made something of the Colossus of Rhodes. Maybe a museum of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World would work. The main problem is the experts cant agree where it might have stood.
 

That is a really great picture. I've never thought much about going to Greece, but I've seen a few things lately that have changed my mind.
