This month while wandering the streets of Melbourne I met an Englishman who is currently cycling around the world with his cousin. Ben Wylson and Jamie Mackenzie left the UK on the 6th of April 2005 and they plan to visit every continent without flying.

The 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino Italy has been like a rebranding exercise for the city. More commonly known in the English speaking world by its anglacised name of Turin, Olympic broadcasters and news outlets opted with the original Torino.
Whether this sticks post games remains to be seen. Will the cities most famous artefact from now be known as the Shroud of Torino?
