First St Pancras Eurostar service arrives in Paris

Paris travel frenzy for World Cup final
Eurostar has laid on extra trains between London and Paris in the days leading to the England v South Africa game on Saturday and estimates that 25,000 people will use the rail service to travel to Paris between Thursday lunchtime and Saturday afternoon.

Mutiny looms on jinxed bus to Sydney
Maybe it was the threat of another sober night sipping bottles of Bavaria, Iran's famously alcohol-free lager. Or perhaps it was the mechanical breakdowns and hours of mind and bottom-numbing coach travel that threatened to bring the dream crashing down.
Whatever the final straw, on Sunday night it was reported that the 38 passengers aboard the OzBus, a 1960s-style charabanc trip from London to Australia, were threatening to mutiny.

Travel chaos after Tube safety row
Commuters have been hit by travel chaos because of a row over safety on London Underground.
The Circle and Hammersmith and City lines were suspended and the District line was partially suspended after drivers refused to take out trains, claiming problems with the braking system.

London-to-Sydney bus tour set for roll-off
A group of 38 adventurers with three months and £3750 ($A9000) to spare will today board the inaugural London-to-Sydney bus service, which will wind its way through Gallipoli, Delhi and Bangkok before arriving in Sydney before Christmas.
