Virgin America is a new low cost airline by British entrepreneur Richard Branson (Virgin Group). It is based in San Francisco and it was scheduled to start operations by early 2007.
The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) tentatively rejected Virgin America's airline application due to its ownership structure.
Virgin America have launched a site with a petition in support of Virgin America.
