Beach bars and clubs in Ibiza

August 16, 2011 By itravelnet.com

Ibiza beach bars are an institution and one of the “must-do’s” on any Ibiza holiday checklist. Not only are you rewarded with unrivalled views of the sun setting over the Bay of Calo des Moro but you will also benefit from free entry, much cheaper drinks and a more chilled out crowd.

Just a short stroll from many of the major San Antonio Ibiza hotels is the Sunset Strip where some of the most well-established and well-loved beach bars can be found. There is no denying that you will have heard of Café Mambo, which has been a firm favourite on the island for close to 10 years and is home to the popular Radio 1 Weekend. Other great options on the Sunset Strip include Savannahs and Sugar Sea where you can mingle with a cool crowd on their exclusive decking area whilst local or international DJ’s play ambient house to get you in the party mood.

Bora Bora is arguably a favourite of all of the numerous bars and clubs in Ibiza and each and every day hundreds of sun-worshippers head here to spend the whole day getting into the party spirit. The bar is to be found on Playa d’en Bossa and has become famous for its all day beach parties that get started around 4.30pm. If you aren’t feeling too fragile from the night before – be sure to arrive early to bag yourself a sunbed.

The Blue Marlin is another firm favourite. This exclusive hangout is a favourite amongst the rich and famous who can expect to enjoy being personally collected from their private yachts by the bars water taxi. Not only is this a great spot to while away the afternoon with some beautiful people, it has also become well known for its fine dining and is a competitor as one of the best Ibiza restaurants.

When you are in a place as beautiful as Ibiza, be sure to make the most of the beach side dining, drinking and partying that have made it so famous. The breathtaking sunsets will stay with you for years to come.
