Double the Disney Magic on a combined Walt Disney World and Disney cruise package

September 11, 2012 By itravelnet.com

When you think of taking a Disney Holiday, a straightforward trip to Walt Disney World with iconic theme park rides, costumed characters greeting you at the gates, enjoying world-class hospitality from “the happiest place on earth” may immediately spring to mind.

A holiday to Walt Disney World is usually enough to give your little ones a magical stay, but there is a way to double the Disney Magic – by combining a trip to Walt Disney World with an exotic Disney cruise.

Surrounded by the clear blue seas, families can relax onboard or indulge in a number of Disney activities. Every age group is catered for, from puzzle play time for six year olds and under, to video game tournaments and Disney animation for those aged 14-17. Quiet bars and nightclubs are also available for the grown-ups, with plenty of activities in-between where the whole family can get involved.

There are also a few teen-only and tween-only areas on the ship, allowing every member of your family to have the perfect holiday. These are themed areas allowing a private area for their own escape to take part in activities of their choice or just chill out. There’s even an online social network on board especially for tweens and teenagers to socialise, and plenty of supervised events to keep them safely occupied so the parents can have some time alone with peace of mind that their families are enjoying the magic of a Disney holiday while, most importantly, staying safe.

Touring the beautiful islands with their secluded beaches and tropical climates in the Bahamas and Caribbean allows you to feel the exotic climate with the added magical benefits of travelling with Disney. Highlights of taking a cruise to the Bahamas or Caribbean out of Port Canaveral, Florida, means you will be able to visit Disney’s private island Castaway Cay. It’s easy to pretend that you are a castaway on a desert island, an island which offers a range of family activities for all ages such as snorkelling, boating, swimming and underwater treasure hunts, and it has its own secluded white-sand beach especially for adults.

Alternatively, you can take a cruise out of the port of Miami. A Miami Cruise offers the chance to explore the ‘Magic City’ of Miami, with its surrounding national parks, museums, art galleries, sandy beaches and championship golf courses, as well as enjoying the Disney entertainment on deck.

It gives you the added opportunity to experience the delights of the great vibrant city of Miami or experience the culture of the many islands on a Disney Caribbean cruise.

The best part of taking a cruise with Disney is the attention to detail you’ll receive along with the personalisation for all members of the family. You can organise special events and birthday parties for both children and adults, choose from a varied itinerary of workshops, activities and performances in the style of London’s West End in the Walt Disney theatre and even dine or play with your favourite Disney characters (taking photographs with the characters on board is also allowed). All this is available, but if you just want to relax by the pool or on the beach you’re more than welcome. It’s your holiday after all, so you can tailor when you want to spend a day on deck or venture out to enjoy port activities.
