Las Vegas: 5 Reasons To Go

Las Vegas: 5 Reasons To Go

By far one of the top destinations for road trips in America is the legendary city of Las Vegas. There are many reasons this Nevada desert city attracts thousands of visitors per year, and the diverse amount of activities and sights on hand are enough to keep many visitors coming back for multiple visits year-on-year. Whether you’re an experienced road tripper or new to the hobby and you haven’t placed Vegas near the top of your to-do list, then you should check out the below top five reasons to visit. You just can’t go wrong steering your camper rental in the direction of Vegas.

Entertainment

There is truly no other city in the nation that can match the sheer diversity and quantity of entertainment on offer in Las Vegas. In this city you can see a variety of different top level shows on any given night. From big name pop, rock, hip hop and country stars to plays to stand up, Las Vegas is a mecca for entertainment. No matter if it’s a Saturday night or a Monday night, there is no doubt you will be able to find an entertainment option to suit your tastes.

Speaking of entertainment, one of the main draws of Vegas is of course the dozens of casinos dotting the Strip. Whether you’re an experienced gambler looking to hit the blackjack and roulette tables or you just want to stay on the nickel slots, you will have many options at the major casinos located all over the city.

Shopping

Lots of people come to Vegas with the express purpose of getting some retail therapy. Everything from high end, name brand luxury shopping to smaller boutiques are available all up and down the Strip, not to mention off the strip in various neighborhoods throughout the city. The sheer amount of opportunities on hand can be overwhelming, so it is advised that you do your research and make sure to pinpoint the exact stores you are looking for ahead of time. This will save you time and make sure that you don’t get confused or overwhelmed.

Many of the casinos have separate shopping areas where you will be able to find dozens of stores on hand. The Venetian, for example, features an entire mall full of shopping opportunities separate from the casino. Keep in mind that the casinos aren’t just for gambling, so while one of your family members hits the slots you can get some shopping in.

Dining

It’s no secret that the food game in Vegas is on point. When you pull your camper rental into Las Vegas, you are entering a zone where any type of food you desire is on offer 24 hours per day. There are a plethora of fine dining options where you can taste offerings from 5 star chefs. There are also a number of non-chain options offering everything from Italian to sushi to Mexican. If you’re looking for cheaper, but no less quality, fare then you can seek out one of the many food trucks that have been popping up in the city over the past few years. Given all of these options, it is safe to say that Vegas has a little something to offer anyone no matter your budget or taste.

The Desert

Keep in mind that just beyond the bright lights of the city lies many miles of expansive desert offering majestic views, amazing sunsets and dawns, and a plethora of outdoor activities from hiking to climbing to caving. You really don’t have to go too far out of your way to experience the desert. Just a 20-minute drive from the city center will put you in the middle of this legendary stretch of land, Death Valley, itself. This is great for travelers since you can take a day off from your urban adventures and get out into the quiet and calm of the desert, taking in the sights and maybe getting some outdoor activities in before returning to the fray.

The City Sights

Some of the best Vegas attractions can be found just wandering around on the Strip. First of all you have the miles and miles of bright lights to make for a truly romantic and surreal setting. Then you have the people watching, with thousands of visitors and locals surrounding you at all times, and the many fountains and other sights to be had. All you need to do is walk one block in Vegas and you will be treated to enough sites to last you a lifetime.

There is truly no place like Las Vegas anywhere else in the world, so if you are making a bucket list for you upcoming camper rental trips and you don’t have Vegas near the top then you will definitely want to reconsider.
