Things to do in Orlando after visiting the theme parks

Tourists often overlook all of Orlando’s other fantastic attractions because of its status as the “Theme Park Capital of the World.” There is so much more to enjoy in Orlando than theme parks. With cheap rental cars in Orlando, you have the freedom to drive around to any of the tourist attractions in an around Orlando.

While we are certain that you will wish to enjoy some time at one of the many theme parks, we have collected a list of alternative activities for when you have theme park fatigue.

Indoor Attractions

Sometimes it’s good to get inside out of the sunshine and in Orlando there are many indoor attractions to choose from. Whilst there are just too many to review them all, we have selected some examples to give you an idea.

Drive Shack

Drive Shack, where you will play from climate-controlled and enclosed driving bays, will help you refine your golf swing so that you may leave Lake Nona a vastly improved golfer. This venue offers a fresh perspective on the sport by transforming traditional golf into exciting new games like ShackJack, which is similar to the card game blackjack, and Monster Hunt, in which players must vanquish monsters in order to save a princess. After the game, take a rest on the outside terrace with a view of Lake Nona and enjoy some delectable cuisine and refreshing drinks.

Indoors at Icon Park

Are you looking for some interesting activities in Orlando? What about the most memorable nightlife and eating experiences? Maybe unique shopping? The excellent news is that the International Drive Entertainment District’s Icon Park serves as a single stop for entertainment and more. Here are some of our favorite reasons to visit this lively, open-air, all-in-one entertainment complex in Orlando, Yes, I did say open air, but the great thing with Icon Park is that there is also a great deal to do indoors. Here are just two of our favorites …

* Madame Tussauds
* Museum of Illusions

Ripleys Believe It or Not

The Ripley’s Believe It or Not! museum is not in danger of collapsing into a hole. It is but one of the strange and incredible sights, sounds, and sensations that may be had at the 10,000-square-foot arena. Inside, visitors of any age may enjoy intriguing, interactive exhibitions and discover an astounding assortment of artifacts and displays housed in a wide variety of one-of-a-kind galleries, all of which had significant renovations in 2021. Because the trip is self-guided and you choose your own speed, you will have plenty of time to see everything.

Outdoor Activities

Kayaking in Orlando

You may go kayaking on a wide variety of canals and natural springs all throughout the Orlando region with the assistance of forward-thinking solo operators.

Orlando Parks and Nature Trails

The abundance of natural parks and preserves in the area around Orlando provides a veritable treasury of flora and fauna that may be discovered via activities like walking, cycling, and other outdoor pursuits. The West Orange Trail is a paved path that runs for 20.8 miles from Winter Garden to Apopka in the north, and it is sure to please anybody who enjoys going for a bike ride. The trail’s amenities include rest stops, picnic areas, and playgrounds.

Orlando Airboat Tours

An airboat ride is a traditional activity in the state of Florida. These trips allow passengers to glide through peaceful marshes at speeds of up to 50 miles per hour while taking in the breathtaking scenery and getting an up-close look at natural wildlife.

Getting Around Orlando

If you are arriving at Orlando International Airport, mco rental cars will save you time instead of picking up your rental in the city center. You will then be free to visit the many theme parks of Orlando and all of the other attractions on the side.
