Top Jobs That Let You (or Make You) Travel

Traveling and seeing the world is a dream that many people share. Unfortunately, many people will find that they do not have the time or money to travel as much as they would like. For those that would like to be able to see the world or their country more, getting a job that gives them this opportunity would be a great option. There are several career paths in particular that will allow you to travel the world while also getting paid and building a career.

Airline Employee

One industry that you could work in that will provide you with travel all over the world is the airline industry. If you become a pilot or flight attendant, you will likely spend your entire day traveling from one city to the next. In many situations, you will also end up being overnight in a city, which you can spend time exploring when you are not on the plane. Further, many people who work for the major airlines also are able to fly for free or deeply discounted rates when they are not working.

Traveling Nurse

Another of the jobs involving travel is if you become a traveling nurse. Becoming a nurse can be a great career path for those that want to help others. However, it can also give you the ability to travel and live in exotic places. Today, since there is a shortfall of quality nurses across the world, there are many RN and LPN travel jobs that are available. When you take one of these jobs, you will get to move from one city to the next while working at local hospitals. This will also allow you to actually live in a different city or country for anywhere from three to 12 months. This can help you to really learn the city and culture.

Business Jobs

If you are looking for a job in business, there are plenty of jobs available that could take you all over the country or even the world. In 2017 there were 462 million domestic business trips in the United States alone. This number is anticipated to increase in the years ahead. These jobs could allow you to work on interstate or international transactions while also spending weeks or months at a time in new places, including foreign countries. When you do this, you will get to see many parts of the world while working side-by-side with local business people.

International Politics

Today, the world is more connected than ever before. Because of this, all countries need to learn to work together in order to achieve global goals. This has increased the need for people to work in international politics. If you get a job working for the government, you could spend time visiting foreign governments and embassies. This could help to take you to countries all over the world while also helping to keep the world connected and safe.

Freelance or Remote Jobs

Finally, if you want to live in different parts of the world, you can also look to find freelance or remote job opportunities. Today, many companies allow their employees to work remotely. This means that you could do your job while working anywhere in the world that you want. Another option would be to work freelance jobs, which will allow you to work when you want and travel the rest of the time. In either situation, you will have more flexibility with where you live. However, you likely will not get the additional perk of having flights and hotels paid for when you do travel.
