The Best Ways To See The World

December 15, 2016 By itravelnet.com

The Best Ways To See The World

There’s a whole wide world out there, and unfortunately too many of us only see a fraction of it. There is so much to see and do, that staying in your little corner of the world is unacceptable. If you have been dying to get out there and explore a little more, here are the best ways to go about it.

Get Outside Your Comfort Zone

First, if you really want to experience everything the world has to offer, you are going to have to expand your comfort zone. As you travel, you are going to be presented with new opportunities and challenges, and your comfort zone will need to expand in order to make the most of them. While traveling around your home state – or even your home country – is fine, you’ll have to push your limits if you want to see more. You need to become comfortable wandering around a city in which you know no one, or you don’t speak the language. Only when you embrace being uncomfortable can you truly begin to see the world.

Learn To Fly

In order to get far away from home, chances are you will need to fly. Flying offers two unique benefits – you can travel more quickly to far away places, and you get to see a bird’s eye view of these locations. However, you are limited to where and when the airlines fly, and you don’t get to control the views that you see.

If you want to actually see the world – and from a much different angle – consider going high up in your own plane. Take some flying lessons, and you’ll be able to go anywhere you want, and see anything. During flying lessons you’ll learn things like the parts of the plane, how to replace those parts through sites like A.E.R.O, how to talk to other pilots, and how to do everything safely. It’s a lot to take in, but after a couple of weeks of classes, the skies will be yours.

Scuba Dive

There is more to see than just what’s on land. There is an entire world to explore under the waves, and in order to do so, you’ll need to learn how to scuba dive. To get your scuba diving license, you’ll need to complete a few weeks of training. After that, you just need to go to a location with some deep waters, and then you can begin to see all of the life that exists in the oceans.

Volunteer

One of the many barriers that people face when wanting to travel is that they cannot afford it. To travel far away, you need to get plane tickets, book hotel rooms, and typically eat out every day. This adds up, and makes it impossible for a lot of us to travel. To cut costs on travel, you should consider volunteer work. There are many organizations that need help around the world, and when you volunteer with them, you can travel the world at a discounted cost. Organizations like the Peace Corps are well known, but there are many others.

Couch Surf

If you don’t have the time or ability to make a commitment to volunteering, there is another way to get free lodgings – couch surf. While this used to mean crashing on a friend’s couch for a few days – and it still can – there are now websites that will find places for you to couch surf all over the world. Many people are willing to offer you a couch to sleep on for a night or two – sometimes for free – which makes finding a place to stay much cheaper. It’s not as nice as a hotel, but if you don’t mind roughing it a bit and bunking with strangers, it can certainly make seeing the world cheaper.

To See The World, You Need To Be Adventurous

If you really want to experience all that the world has to offer, you need to abandon some of the traditional travel methods. Take to the skies, dive underwater, and bunk with strangers. Go to place you’ve heard nothing about, or volunteer with an organization in a country that need helps. If you limit yourself to visiting only countries that speak your language, or only stay in hotels, you’ll just be seeing a fraction of what’s out there.
